    Hi, you are a wonderful source of info and help! We have reservations with the basic dining plan for 04-25-08 to 05-02-08. If by chance disney decides to offer free dining over that period, would be able to take advantage of it? Thanks so much!

    I really don't have any "inside scoop" but I can almost guarantee you that WDW will not be offering free dining during the time period you mention. Here's why ...

    The "free dining" promotion was created as a way to entice guests to visit WDW during the historically very slow fall season. Disney has never offered free dining at any time other than the fall. The spring is never super-slow at WDW, so they don't need to run any specials to encourage guests to visit. Also, the time period you mention is only a few weeks away. Promotions such as free dining are usually announced many months in advance so that people have time to plan their trips.

    If I'm wrong, you could certainly call Disney reservations at 407-W-DISNEY and ask them about making revisions to your vacation package. But I really don't think you'll be able to experience free dining during your trip.
