Ahoy, Cailyn!
I'm so happy to hEAR from you again! If your niece is anything like my teen daughter, she's going to love experiencing Vibe on your Disney Wonder cruise. To get all the answers to your questions, I consulted her because she's an expert on all the youth programming since she's been sailing the high seas with Mickey for the past 11 yEARs!
On our most recent Disney Wonder cruise in February,
Vibe was utilizing stickers on the Key to the World cards for all teens. There was no formal check-in because there is no door to get in, but random sticker checks were held throughout the day. When we sailed on the Disney Fantasy last month, my daughter did receive a Vibe themed card to replace her regular Key to the World card, and did have to scan it to get through the door during operating hours. Speaking of operating hours, Vibe is typically available for Open House during the morning hours and open for teens-only throughout the day. The first and last night, it closes at midnight and 2:00 a.m. on the additional nights, but you'll want to check your cruise newsletter, the Personal Navigator once you are aboard. The first night is crucial because the counselors host ice breakers and "getting to know you" activities so please make sure your niece attends!
Whenever my daughter talks about Vibe, you can tell how much she enjoys being there by the excitement in her voice and the huge smile on her face. She likes to check-in throughout the day, but says the most fun is at night after dinner. Her hands down favorite activity is Heroes vs Villains. Activities are scheduled like crafts, movies, Smoothie Hour and Sport Deck Fun, but your niece can pick and choose because the planned programming is always optional.
Please let us know if you have any additional questions about Vibe! I know your niece is going to absolutely love it!
