Welcome to planDisney, Corey! I am sorry to hear that you were ill on the day of your planned visit. Let’s talk through the next steps for your renewal so you can focus on resting and healing up.
I can put your mind at ease as one no-show will not impact your ability to renew your
Magic Key next month. According to
current Disney policy, missing one scheduled reservation will not have an impact on a Guest’s Magic Key account. You will still be able to renew your Magic Key, regardless of that no-show, as long as the Key level you are interested in is available.
If a guest receives three no-shows within a 90-day window, that will place their Magic Key in a 30-day reservation restriction. During that time, the Guest won’t be able to make new theme park reservations or modify existing ones. However, something that is helpful to keep in mind is that the 30-day restriction is based on
calendar days and is not paused for blockout periods. For example, even if your Magic Key is blocked out for part of those 30 days, the restriction continues running in the background.
I've had to reschedule my fair share of Disney days, too. One tip that’s helped me is knowing I can cancel or reschedule a park reservation by 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time the day before. I have started setting a calendar reminder as soon as I book my park reservation so if I need to cancel or reschedule, I can be sure to do so before midnight. That small step has saved me from a few accidental no-shows when plans changed at the last minute.
If you have any additional questions or would like tips on how to spend your rescheduled park day, Corey, please visit us here again at planDisney. We would be happy to help make your next visit a magical one.
Feel better!
David
