Hi Clayton!
Welcome to planDisney! I’m finding myself answering all of the food questions today, which probably means I’m hungry, right?
From one light eater to another, you can absolutely share an entrée at a restaurant that isn’t family-style or buffet. In fact, my husband and I often even share one quick-service meal, which leaves room for more snacks later! Who doesn't love a Mickey Premium Ice Cream bar?
At many of the full-service restaurants, I will order an appetizer and my husband will order an entrée, and we will share them both. On a recent trip to Walt Disney World, a friend and I snagged a last-minute lunch reservation for
Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen, and we ordered drinks and three appetizers, and we were very happy with that choice! I highly recommend Orinoco Ida’s Cachapas…they were DELICIOUS!
If you plan to visit Pandora in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, you might consider having a bite at
Satu’li Canteen. We have found that we can easily share a protein bowl, which leaves enough room for the Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse, which is a DO NOT miss! I like sharing, because it gives us the flexibility to have another small meal later if we want to try something else across the park.
At the
50’s Prime Time Café in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, our favorite to share is the “A Sampling of Mom’s Favorite Recipes”. It is a TON of food! This also leaves room for a milk shake or “Mom’s Brownie” with ice cream! (Can you tell I like my desserts?)
Finally, in EPCOT, might I suggest you just plan to eat your way around the
International Food & Wine Festival? The portions are perfect for a taste, and I always feel less guilty when I walk between my snacks. Do not miss the Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese at The Alps booth, located near Norway. I’m also a big fan of the Crispy Pork Belly from the Brazil booth.
Clayton, have a great trip to Walt Disney World, and eat some amazing food!
Happy Traveling (and eating),
Tracy
