Hiya Alfred,
Welcome to planDisney! I hope you are excited about your upcoming visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth. With so many
new and exciting changes on the horizon this year (I’m most excited about Magic Kingdom Park’s new nighttime parade), I cannot wait until I am back at Walt Disney World Resort.
So let’s talk about making payments, Alfred. Guests who have a Walt Disney World Resort Vacation Package (a package that combines a stay at a Walt Disney World Resort Collection Hotel with theme park tickets) can make payments on their vacation in advance of their arrival through My Disney Experience. If you have a Walt Disney World Resort Vacation Package, log in to your
My Disney Experience account and, under your plans and tickets, scroll until you see your resort hotel details. You will know you are in the right place when you see the name of the resort hotel name, your trip dates, your remaining balance, and your confirmation number. You should also see a blue button that says “Make a Payment.” Voila! Follow the onscreen instructions after you click the button, and you will have paid.
If you don’t see the blue button, Alfred, you may have a room-only reservation ( which means you booked your resort hotel separately from your Theme Park tickets). You can also confirm that you have a room-only reservation by going to the email confirmation that you received when you booked your hotel and seeing the words “Room Only Terms and Conditions” under the section called “Contact Us.” Unfortunately, at this time, Guests with room-only reservations are not able to make payments toward their final balance before their trip. The entire remaining balance would need to be paid upon check-in at the resort hotel. As a
Walt Disney World Passholder, I often have room-only reservations, so I’m used to this scenario. I like to create my own payment plan, in this instance, by purchasing
Disney Gift Cards. Every payday, I buy a Disney Gift Card and set it aside for my trip. Then, right before my vacation, I combine my multiple gift cards into one (or two cards), and then I use those to pay my final balance. It helps me with budgeting and makes affording the trip of my dreams a lot easier!
I hope that was helpful, Alfred. Please come back and see us if there is anything else we can help you with!
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
