Hi Robert,
Thanks for popping by with a question. I love all things
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, and especially love trying all the varieties of wine offered across the Global Marketplaces. Greece has had a great flight the past few years and though I didn't make it to Macatizers in CommuniCore Hall on my last visit, I have their Caymus 50th Anniversary Cabernet Sauvignon on my to-do list for next week. Milled & Mulled also has a Chocolate Shop Chocolate Red Wine that sounds intriguing. Be sure to review the full
Disney Eats Foodie Guide for this year's festival so you're prepared.
In years past, there were specialty demonstrations and bookable experiences during the festival, but sadly they have not yet returned. With the opening of
CommuniCore Hall earlier this year, I'm hopeful we will eventually see these offerings available during future festivals. "Art exhibitions, live entertainment, cooking demonstrations and more," are listed on the Hall's landing page and
this Disney Parks Blog post shared that "the future of this gathering and event space is limited only by the boundaries of imagination." I'm raising a glass in honor of the wonderfully imaginative things in the coming months and years!
If you're savoring a guided wine tasting in the meantime, be sure to check out the
event offerings at Wine Bar George in Disney Springs. I met George on a past visit and hope to enjoy one of his 90-minute "blind tastings" when I visit with my husband in January. If you can't make it to one of these events, you'll find a variety of wines to enjoy alongside brunch, lunch or dinner at this venue including a few options on tap.
I hope this helped, Robert. Please come back and see us again with more questions. We're always ripe to help guests have their most magical vacation or find the perfect pairing for any meal.
Cheers!
Amy
