Does Ft. Wilderness have a petting zoo? If so, is that open for all WDW resort guests to visit or only if you are staying at Ft. Wilderness?

    Hi Colleen,

We just returned from our first stay at Fort Wilderness and I was amazed at all this resort has to offer. You could spend days just enjoying the resort amenities. There are stables at the resort where you can visit the horse used to pull the trolley at magic Kingdom and the carriages at Fort Wilderness. There is also a pony area where younger children can enjoy a pony ride for a minimal cost. There is however no petting zoo.

The only petting zoo that I am aware of at Disney World is located at Animal Kingdom at Rafiki's Planet. This zoo allows guests the opportunity to visit and interact with a number of animals. You will also find a number of hands on activities for the kids to learn all about the animals and how the staff cares for them. Hope you have a great time!
