If we get to Wilderness Lodge at 7:00 for breakfast at WCC, will we be able to take their ferry to MK and be there in time for the rope drop? Will there be a big back up of people trying to board that ferry before 8:30?

    Hi Kim!

Whispering Canyon Cafe is one of my favorite places to have breakfast at the Walt Disney World Resort!  The All-You-Care-To-Enjoy Breakfast Skillet is phenomenal, and you can even get an All-You-Care-To-Enjoy milkshake!  I also absolutely love staying at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, not only for the incredible theming, but also for the convenient water transportation!

When I have used the water transportation from Disney's Wilderness Lodge to Magic Kingdom Park, I have never encountered crowds of people.  On one occasion, the first boat filled up, so I had to wait for a second one to arrive.  Luckily, the boats usually arrive every 10-15 minutes, so you never have to wait very long!

The boats typically begin running between 30 and 45 minutes before the park opens, so you should be able to make it before a 9 a.m. rope drop, even with a 7 a.m. breakfast!  That being said, I would suggest getting to the dock to board the boat as soon as you can.  We are usually there waiting for the first boat of the day and have no problems getting on, but the closer you get to the time the park opens, the more Guests there will be waiting.

Remember, if you are driving your own car, you will only be able to park at Disney's Wilderness Lodge during your breakfast.  You will need to take your car to park at the Transportation and Ticket Center, then take transportation from there to Magic Kingdom Park.

Have a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow!
