How wild is Avatar Flights of passage? Soaring is my favorite ride. I have no issues with Star tours or most simulator rides. But I can't do Roller Coasters, with the long wait it's not like I can have my family ride it then tell me.

    Hi Holly!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I had your exact same concerns before my most recent trip so your question stood out to me!

Just like you, Soarin' is one of my favorite attractions at Walt Disney World! However, Star Tours- The Adventure Continues is something I've had to pass on in recent years because it does make me slightly queasy. I'm confident you will be perfectly fine on Avatar Flight of Passage! It is truly a breathtaking ride, but not one that made me feel sick in the slightest. When I was initially nervous to ride it I had one friend describe it to me as "Soarin' on steroids" and that's truly a perfect description! It's very similar to Soarin', but more immersive.

One tip that a Cast Member gave me is if you are concerned at all about motion sickness is to request a banshee in the middle of your room. There will be two separate boarding groups in your initial room, seats 1 through 8 and seats 9 through 16. If you are concerned, try and get seats 3 through 6 or seats 11 through 14. My friends in my group switched around with me on my last trip and had no issues at all!

I can't wait for you to experience this amazing new attraction within Pandora- The World of Avatar! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
