I would like to do the Wild Africa Trek, but I am afraid of heights. How high is the rope bridge? Is there a way I could do the rest of the trek without walking across the bridge?

    Hi, Jeanie!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. The Wild Africa Trek was one of the best experiences I've ever enjoyed during a visit to Walt Disney World Resort.

I am unaware of any way you can participate in the adventure without walking across two rope bridges. I have a pretty intense fear of heights but I was so impressed with the safety harness system, I never felt scared as I walked across the bridges. My whole family was so brave, and the Wild Africa Trek was an adventure we will remember for the rest of our lives.

I did not see any tour-goers skip the bridges during my experience. If you are certain you cannot cross, I'd recommend calling the reservation number and find out if there are any options: (407) WDW-TOUR or (407) 939-8687.

I hope you're able to participate in the trek. It is a one-of-a-kind experience. Let me know if I can help you answer any more questions before your next visit.
