Welcome aboard, Jacqueline! Sailing with Disney Cruise Line includes so much magic and excitement for everyone in the family. Of course, you may want to check in online while onboard to share some of those magical moments with friends back home.
I actually try to take advantage of being away from it all when we sail with Disney, and keep the WiFi access to a minimum so I can truly "unplug" and enjoy every magical moment of the cruise. But, should you want to log into the web while you're at sea, it's easy to do. There are a variety of
Connect@Sea packages available, starting at $19 for a 100 MB, 300 MB for $39 and 1000 MB for $89. A "Pay As You Go" package is also available. However, I have a little money saving tip for you! On the first day, when you arrive at port and get your paper copy of the Personal Navigator, flip it over to the back page. There you should see a first day only special of a free 50 MB package per stateroom, if you register for it on day one. I do this every time we sail, making sure to sign up that first day, so I don't miss the freebie. The data can be used throughout the sailing. That's been plenty of data for me to check in on my email a few times and send some photos and messages to friends and family back home about our trip. So, be sure to take advantage of that free package if it's offered on your sailing. The app on your phone when you log in will show a data meter so you can easily keep track of how much you've used and how much is left. If you use up all of your free data, then you can simply buy additional data. It's super easy, Jacqueline!
Disney Cruise Line's Navigator App runs on the WiFi, but it is free to use and will not count against any data you've purchased, so be sure to download that before you arrive at port!
Happy sailing!
