My wife, 7yr. old, and myself are staying at WL 7/1-7/8. We have the dining plan.I know that my son has to order off of the kid's menu when available. My ? is, when dining at Whispering Canyon and other family styles can he share in the family skillets?

I LOVE LOVE LOVE those skillets at the Whispering Canyon Cafe!

When you're eating at a restaurant where there is a family-style all-you-care-to-eat option, you'll order your son the child's meal, but basically this works like a buffet where he can also eat from the family's main food supply. Other examples of this occur at the Liberty Tree Tavern and the Garden Grill at Epcot. When I've dined at each of these places, my children will eat not only the kids' food that has been brought to them, but also the adult food from the large platter or skillet. We've never had any problems with this at all. Your server will simply bring you more of whatever your family needs more of.

Have a wonderful visit to WDW!
