My wife and two teenage sons have an eating disorder that basically gives them the tastebuds of a picky toddler; no joke. I want to enjoy table service restaurants with them, but they can mostly only eat off kids menus. Will this be a problem at DW?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Bret! How exciting you are already planning your meals! It's my favorite thing to do when a Disney trip approaches and I hope you will be glad to know you're not alone in the world of picky eaters. My youngest is probably THE pickiest of all, so I totally relate, Bret!

Of all places you could take a picky eater to dine at, the Walt Disney World is the best. First of all, your wife and teenage sons will have no problem at all ordering from the children's menu as this is absolutely fine and a not so uncommon practice. My mom usually orders from this menu because of its serving size, which is more than enough for her. Another benefit is that if they find something appealing in the adult menu that they would like to modify, they can ask their server to do that or even request to speak to a chef and explain what they need. Rest assured your server will do his best to accommodate their requests and satisfy those taste buds!

Remember that certain advanced dining reservations should be made as soon as your 180 day window opens.

I hope this information has been helpful, Bret! I wish you and your family magical memories!

    Happy Disney Dining!

Meet the Panelist: Desiree, Peru

Hi! I'm Desiree from Lima, Peru. My family will never ever tire of visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth, even if means traveling almost 3,000 miles to do so! My husband and I love to watch the fireworks with our kids, but the best magic happens when the grandparents come along and we all feel the same age in front of Cinderella Castle! I love giving tips about different types of resorts and traveling with multigenerational groups.
