My wife and I will be taking a GreyHound down to the Orlando Grey Hound bus station which via Mapquest.com its about 18 miles away from our resort. Is a taxi (about $50 one way) seriously the cheapest way outside of hitchhiking? Im going back via GreyHnd

Hi, Justin!  Your options are somewhat limited in getting from the Greyhound bus station in Orlando to the Walt Disney World resort area.  Taxi is going to be one of your quickest options, but the price tag is going to be in the $50 range.  There are also some local car services that will provide you with a chauffeured town car from the bus station to the resort area.  I've seen recent quotes for that trip starting from about $48, so the cost between this option and the taxi is minimal.

Another option you might consider is to take a short cab ride from the Greyhound station to the Lynx bus station.  There is a line that runs to the Walt Disney World Transportation and Ticket Center.  At the current time, the cost for the Lynx bus is $2 per person, each way, but I highly encourage you to check the most current fares at golynx.com .  The cab fare should be significantly less, the only thing I caution you about is you will then have to use Walt Disney World transportation from the Transportation and Ticket Center to your resort, with whatever bags you have packed.  The buses can get crowded, which may make it a bit more difficult, but you should be fine.

    Have a wonderful trip!
