Hi, Wife and I are staying at DVC Grand Floridian in September, we are making dinner reservation at California Grill for 7:15 pm, is that good timing to see fireworks after dinner, or is it too early--thanks, Dan

    Hi Dan!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I don’t know whether I’m more excited about your meal at California Grill, your choice of after-dinner attraction, or both!

I did a quick check of the Park Hours and Entertainment Schedule for Magic Kingdom Park for September 2019, and it looks like Happily Ever After is scheduled at 9:15 pm. Remember, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party will have started by then, so Happily Ever After will not be shown the nights of the Party.

California Grill is the perfect place to have a delicious meal, and with your dinner reservation at 7:15 pm I think you will either be done with your meal or wrapping up right as the fireworks begin. That’s perfect timing to take a leisurely stroll to the viewing terrace outside of the restaurant. From there you will have one of the best views of the nighttime spectacular! If you finish early, never fear! Keep your dinner receipt and enjoy the Resort. Once it’s time for fireworks, show your receipt to the Cast Member operating the special elevator, and you can ride back up to watch Happily Ever After from the hotel rooftop.

Dan, I hope you and your wife have a magical evening!
