My wife and I are seniors. Can we buy entrance tickets to both Disneyland and California Adventures? Can we make the reservations before we buy the tickets? We are planning on visiting on Feb 23 and 24 2024.

    Hello there, Raul!

A very warm welcome to you and your wife from all of us at planDisney! I'm so happy to see you here and I hear that you're planning a trip to the Disneyland Resort very soon. It would be my pleasure to help answer your ticket questions for you!

Disneyland Resort Theme Park Tickets can be purchased as either One Park Per Day or Park Hopper Tickets. One Park Per Day is self explanatory. If you would like the option of visiting both Parks in the same day, then you'll need to purchase the Park Hopper Pass. You'll still need to select a starting Park for the day and after 11 a.m., you are free to Park Hop back and forth between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure for the rest of the day.

If you've purchased your tickets from the Disneyland website, you should already have reservations. As part of the ticket purchase process, the Disneyland website will ask you to select the dates of your visit. After you get through the Checkout screen and receive your confirmation, reservations will automatically be created for you. I would recommend double checking this by navigating to Ticket and Reservation Details and selecting "Make or Modify Park Reservations." You should see your reservations on the next screen, which means that you're all set for your visit!

I hope that you and your wife have a wonderful time visiting the Happiest Place on Earth! Be sure to slow down and enjoy yourselves by taking a ride on the Main Street Vehicles if you have the time. It's one of the more quaint and underrated modes of transportation at the Parks and I highly recommend it!

Fun Fact: you'll be visiting just after Valentine's Day and the ever romantic Disneyland After Dark: Sweethearts' Nite Event. In fact, Date Nites at Disneyland began in 1957 and was an effort by Walt Disney and Jack Lindquist, Disneyland's advertising manager at the time, to attract younger couples to the Park. In some ways, it paved the way for late night entertainment such as nighttime spectaculars, parades, and After Hours Events. So take the time to enjoy a date night with your partner!

Raul, I hope that this response was clear and helpful for you. Please don't hesitate to come by again if you have any more questions because we'd love to hear from you in the future. Until next time!

Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
