Hi David! Thanks for stopping by planDisney! I'll be happy to help you out with your questions and get you setup for a wonderful stay.
I'm sure you are excited to plan for your upcoming visit over the new year! There is nothing quite like celebrating New Year's Eve at the
Most Magical Place on Earth and then also spending the first day of the new year there as well. I was lucky enough to visit a couple of years ago during this time, and it was truly a dream stay.
With a purchase of the
14-Day Disney Magic Ticket, you will be able to visit EPCOT on New Year's Eve. There is no special ticket needed for access to this park on this day. I would arrive on the earlier side in case the park reaches capacity. This is typically a busy day at EPCOT, and there have been times in the past when this has happened. Guests will temporarily not be allowed in until the numbers have leveled out.
Walt Disney World does provide
transportation to Disney Resorts, but does not provide any to off-site hotels. You'll need to check with the hotel you are staying at to see if a shuttle service is available at that time. Otherwise, you should be able to take a ride-share service from EPCOT to International Drive. Ride-share services will pick you up in a designated area outside the front entrance of EPCOT.
David, I hope you have a magical time during your holiday! I suggest following along with the
Disney Parks Blog for any information regarding happenings at Walt Disney World during the holidays.
Happy planning!
Greg
