Welcome to
planDisney, Clarence! Where we love helping Guests like you make their Disney vacation dreams come true. I am so happy to hear that you have an upcoming visit to
The Most Magical Place on Earth. With the
50th Anniversary Celebrations underway, you and your wife are sure to have an unforgettable experience, making memories you will both cherish for a lifetime.
I am happy to hear that your wife is recovering from what was, I'm sure, a painful experience with a broken femur. How wonderful that hiking poles help her to get around comfortably. I checked the
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules and double-checked with Guest Services to ensure that collapsible hiking poles are permitted in the theme parks. While hiking poles are not directly specified in the Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules, it is up to Theme Park Security to determine if the hiking poles could be used as a weapon of any type. Canes, walkers, and crutches are both allowed as they are considered medical equipment. I highly recommend bringing the hiking poles but having canes, a walker, or crutches as a backup plan in the event Theme Park Security does not allow the hiking poles.
I hope that you and your wife have a wonderful time at
Walt Disney World Resort! Please stop back by planDisney if we can help answer any more of your vacation questions.
