Hello there, Marshall.
From all of us planDisney, we would like to offer our sincerest condolences on the loss of your loved one. We're so sorry for your loss and hope that we can provide some options for her ticket at this most difficult time.
As per the
Ticket Terms and Conditions, Theme Park Tickets are nonrefundable once purchased and nontransferable once used. So unfortunately, those would not be viable options. If what you have is a regular
Theme Park Ticket that has not yet expired and has not yet been used, it may simply be given to someone else. Even though the ticket might have an assigned name to it, Cast Members do not verify ID when tickets are scanned (unless it is a special offer ticket like the
California Resident Ticket). You may link the ticket to the recipient's Disneyland account and, if it has not yet been activated, they will be able to use it as their own. If you would like to change the assigned name on the ticket, please call
Ticket Guest Services and a Cast Member will be able to help you. Finally, if the ticket is expired and wholly unused, Disney will allow you to apply the cost of the ticket to the purchase of another ticket of equal or higher value.
I hope that you will find your way back to the Disneyland Resort at some point to honor your wife's memory in some way. I have seen some heartwarming ways that family members have remembered their loved ones, from carrying their picture to be taken with their favorite character to random acts of kindness like purchasing a balloon for a young child. Please know that you are in our thoughts as you move forward.
Marshall, we appreciate you reaching out to us and please write again if you need anything else from planDisney. We're so sorry again for your loss and hope that this at least gives you some options for the ticket.
Sincerely,
-Al
