Ahoy Alena!
A
Disney Cruise Line sailing sounds like the most wonderful way to relax and recharge following a triathlon! Advanced congratulations to your wife on this exciting accomplishment.
I sailed over to look through the list of
prohibited items and discovered that bicycles are indeed listed among the items not allowed on Disney ships. I reached out to a Cast Member from
Guest Services about your inquiry, and they confirmed that unfortunately there is no guest storage available at the cruise port or aboard the ship.
If you decide to bring the bicycle parts in your carry-on bag when you arrive for your sailing, Port Agents will make the final determination as to whether the parts will be allowed onboard. I did ask about what might happen if an item was seized at the time of boarding, and the Cast Member advised me that those items would be stored and secured for retrieval at the end of the cruise.
I'm sure this bicycle is a priority item and I know I'd want to feel confident that it was in the safest place while I enjoyed my time at sea. I did some research and found three different sailings departing on February 27th, from Port Canaveral, Miami, and New Orleans. If you'll be arriving at one of those cruise ports in a personal vehicle you can consider storing the bicycle bag securely in your parked car. If you'll be arriving by rideshare or some other form of transport, it might be worth looking into self-storage options nearby your point of embarkation so you can avoid a potentially stressful experience as you prepare to board the ship.
I hope this information was helpful. If I can be of further assistance please don't hesitate to
reach back out to me, or to one of our planDisney cruise specialists
Tracie and
Adrianna.
Wishing you smooth seas,
Amy
