My wife had a question - Are earrings a problem on the rollercoasters and big rides?

Hi, Andrew!  I have a good friend who had a personal - and unpleasant - earring experience while riding Rock 'n' Roller Coaster.  That may be why it took me until just this past fall to ride the darn thing!

I always wear post earrings - nothing dangly - and they are for pierced ears.  I've had my little girls lose clip on earrings, but those really are just kid type jewelry, and no indication whether or not real clip on earrings would suffer the same fate.  But my post earrings have never given me any trouble on any attraction.

However, the friend of mine with the earring mishap had on rather long, dangly earrings.  Part of her earring got caught on her sweater while she was riding the roller coaster, and at one point during the ride, it pulled out of her ear.  She did suffer some damage to her ear, and on top of that, lost a very expensive earring.

I would say for the most part, your earrings are safe, as I do not know of another person who has had a similar experience, but to be on the safe side, stick to conservative styles of earrings.

Wishing you an absolutely magical vacation!
