Hi there, Maurice! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with your question.
I’m so excited for you and your wife...what a fantastic vacation you have planned! A
Disney Destiny Cruise sandwiched between two stays at
Fort Wilderness? That’s the dream combo of land and sea in my book!
I checked with a couple of Cast Members just to be sure, and here’s what I learned: While Fort Wilderness doesn’t officially offer storage in the overflow parking area, they sometimes allow guests to leave a motorhome or trailer there during a cruise if they have a reservation at the campground both before and after their sailing. It’s not guaranteed, but it is possible with management approval. I suggest speaking with the Front Desk Manager during your first check-in, since only they can approve the request. If they’re able to accommodate you, you’ll just need to sign a waiver, and they’ll let Security know your motorhome will be there during your cruise.
And since you’ll be there in late November, you’re in for a treat! Fort Wilderness becomes pure holiday magic around that time. Guests go all out with their decorations. You'll see lights, inflatables, Disney-themed displays, and more! It’s become a bit of a tradition for campers to
rent golf carts and cruise through the loops to admire everyone’s festive setups. I highly recommend booking a golf cart in advance, as they can go fast during the holiday season.
I hope this helps with your planning, Maurice. Wishing you and your wife an unforgettable adventure...both on land and at sea!
“Sea” ya real soon,
