Ahoy Jeff!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Disney Cruise Line is perfect for families who want to enjoy a magical multigenerational vacation together! With something for Guests of all ages, your crew will leave the ship with pixie-dusted memories to be treasured for a lifetime!
Planning a cruise can be overwhelming, but I do have a few tips to help steer you in the right direction. The
Disney Cruise Line website is a valuable resource that gives you an idea of what to expect on each of the four ships and which itineraries are available for the time frame you're considering. Check the
Special Offers section for any deals. Holidays, spring break and summer are the most popular times; prices will be higher if you book then. If you are flexible with your dates, January, February, September and October are typically less expensive times. Also, it is always smart to book a Disney Cruise as early as possible to get the best rates. As you navigate the DCL website have a look at the stateroom options. Inside and oceanview staterooms are going to cost less than verandah rooms. The length of travel will have an impact on the budget, so a four-night sailing may work better than a seven-night. You also may want to consider using an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner (travel agent) to assist you with finding the most bang for your buck! They often offer incentives such as onboard credits to help with any extras you plan to purchase.
I spoke with friends recently who want to do another Disney Cruise with their entire family and shared that they pay for transportation, cruise fare and gratuities, but let their adult children take care of their excursion expenses and onboard charges to help with the overall cost.
I'm so glad you cruised over with your question, Jeff. Please let us know if you can assist you further!
