My wife and I are heading on our first Disney cruise on March 2nd. As DVC members we are familiar park rules, but unclear on some DCL rules. We were wondering if besides our carry on bags will they allow us to carry a backpack on as well with our laptop?

    Ahoy Justin!
Congratulations on your upcoming Disney Cruise!  I'm excited to hear you will get to experience everything Disney has to offer on the high seas, and I hope it's the first of many magical voyages!
A backpack and laptop bag is fine to bring along with your carry-on when you embark the ship.  You will be asked to put it through a security machine at the cruise terminal similar to what you find at an airport.  Your stateroom will be ready at 1:30 so depending on when you board the ship, you will need to carry your bags around with you until that time.  The luggage you check with the porters will be delivered later in the afternoon usually by 5:00.
I hope my answer is helpful, Justin.  If you think of any other questions, please let me know.  It won't be long now!
    Have a magical day!
