Ahoy, Russell!
What an amazing voyage you've selected for your inaugural sailing with Disney! You'll be delighted with your week filled with MAGIC that will include spectacular ports of call, world-class entertainment and fabulous dining experiences! Your dinner will be in one of three main dining restaurants each evening as you rotate with your wonderful dining team. On the Mediterranean itinerary, there is usually one formal night and one semi-formal night. Scheduling is always subject to change, but in the past formal night has been on Day Two and semi-formal on Day Five. Many Guests dress-up for dinner on these two nights and will take advantage of the multiple photo opportunities offered by the ship's photographers. Once you check-in at the cruise terminal, you'll be able to check your cruise newsletter, the Personal Navigator, for the most up-to-date nightly dining attire.
Something else to think about on your sailing is an adult-only dining experience. Have you considered enjoying an evening at
Palo, the Italian-inspired dining venue? This is always a must-do for my husband and myself when we cruise. There is an additional per person fee for this meal and advance reservations are required, but we always find it is one of our favorite meals of the cruise. Reservations can be made once your online booking window opens up, and I highly recommend a time around sunset because the ocean views are absolutely stunning from Deck 10! The cuisine is delectable, and the pièce de résistance is the chocolate soufflé for dessert! There is a dress code in place for Palo so you'll want to plan on wearing a collared shirt and dress pants while your wife is welcome to wear a dress, shirt or nice pants.
Russell, enjoy planning all the magical details for your Disney Cruise! We are always happy to help if you have any additional questions.
