My wife and I enjoy eating at all the Disney restaurants and would like to take advantage of some of the special dining events. However, we find these events costly due to the alcoholic beverages. Is there a reduced price for non-alcoholic drinkers?

Hi, Ed! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! There are some fantastic dining events offered at the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. Of course, my daughters' favorites are the dessert parties. There is always a smorgasbord of flavors found at these parties. If it is a particular sweet that you can dream, then I bet you can find it at one of the dessert parties! My husband and I especially love all of the dining event held during the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. If you plan to dine at some of the Epcot restaurants during your visit this fall, be sure to look into the Eat to the Beat Dining Package to incorporate one of our favorite festival events!

At this time, there is not a reduced price for any of the dining events aimed at those that may not wish to partake of certain menu items. However, do not let that deter you from attending these special events! My fellow panelist, Lynne, frequently lets her inner foodie revel at the Party for the Senses. Even without the alcoholic beverages, this party is a gastronomic delight worthy of its price. At all dining events, there will be both nonalcoholic and alcoholic beverages offered, so I am sure you will find something to enjoy. I remember really enjoying the nonalcoholic Frozen Heart and Summer Fog drinks at the Frozen Ever After Dessert Party. There has also been a coffee bar set up at just about every dining event I have attended, with special syrups and toppings galore available to kick your coffee up a notch. If the event has bartenders working the event, then feel free to ask them to make a nonalcoholic version of the event's featured drinks.

I hope this helps you plan for a delicious visit to Walt Disney World Resort this fall! Thanks for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions.
