Welcome to planDisney, John!
What a wonderful surprise! I'll be happy to try to help you get your accounts sorted out so you will be able to enjoy a magical vacation with your daughter.
So, your MagicBand is linked to your profile that was created in your wife's
My Disney Experience account. What you'll need to do is link the new you that you set up in your own account to the old you in your wife's account. The easiest way to do this is through the
My Disney Experience mobile app. When signed into your account, use the menu button in the lower right corner and scroll to "My Profile", then scroll down to "Show My Linking Code". Have your wife log into her account, select "My Profile" and then "Family & Friends List" at the top of the page. She will scroll to the bottom of the list and choose "Add a Guest" and then "Scan their linking code". When she scans your code, she should have the option to link the profile you created in your account to the profile she has for you in her account. I had to do this when my son created his own account but his MagicBands were linked to the profile I had previously created for him in my account.
Now, I will say that sometimes My Disney Experience can be a bit tricky and if you are not able to connect the way you need to through Family & Friends,
give the My Disney Experience tech team a call at (407) 939-4357. They'll be able to assist you with merging the new you with the old you so that you'll be able to
reuse your MagicBands with your new reservation and tickets.
With your trip coming up so soon, if you aren't able to resolve this prior to your trip, another option would be to use
Disney MagicMobile service. You can
set up a Disney MagicMobile pass through your My Disney Experience account and save it to the digital wallet on your mobile device.
A Disney MagicMobile pass will have much of the same functionality as a MagicBand.
I hope that helps! Please stop by planDisney again with any additional questions you may have. Enjoy making magical memories with your daughter!
