Hi Doug, and thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. I’m super excited to see that you’ll be walking down Main Street, U.S.A. in less than two weeks! So, let’s make sure you’re all set to snag those
Lightning Lane selections.
In my experience, you can log into multiple devices with the same account. However, if your family plans to make Lightning Lane selections at the same time, it’s possible the app can glitch or lag a bit if you’re all using your account simultaneously. For the best results, I’d recommend your wife and daughter create their own MyDisney accounts so they can log into the
My Disney Experience app on their own (as long as your daughter is 13 years of age or older, which is a requirement for having a MyDisney account). If you currently manage their profiles, you can invite them to take control of their profiles on the Disney World website.
To do this, go to your
Family & Friends List, where your wife and daughter should be under Guests You Manage towards the top of the page. Click Manage next to one of their names and you’ll see the option to invite them to sign in and plan on their own (this option only shows up for guests 13 years and older). When you press the Invite button, add your wife or daughter’s email address to send the invitation. You’ll have to repeat this for the other person.
Once your wife and daughter check their emails and complete the process, they’ll be able to log into their MyDisney account in the My Disney Experience app. Then they can book and modify Lightning Lane selections, make
dining reservations, place
mobile food orders, open their
Disney Resort Hotel room door, and more!
Before you start booking Lightning Lane Passes, double-check that you’re all showing up on each other’s Family & Friends List, have a valid theme park ticket linked to each person, and are all on your Disney Resort hotel reservation (if you’re staying at one). Then you’re all set to start making those Lightning Lane selections! If you’re having any issues, you can always call the
App and MagicBand Support phone number and a Cast Member would be happy to help troubleshoot.
Now, get ready to start booking those Lightning Lane selections very soon! All guests can purchase Lighting Lane Passes up to three days in advance. And if you’re a Disney Resort hotel guest, you can make this purchase up to seven days before check-in for your entire length of stay (up to 14 days). Booking starts at 7:00 a.m. ET, so don’t be late for this very important date!
Finally, I didn’t want you to miss out on one of my favorite perks of Lightning Lane Multi Pass—complimentary digital downloads of select
attraction photos and videos. These action shots are such a great way to capture all of the fun memories from your magical visit!
I hope you have the best day ever at Disney World in a few weeks! And if you have any other questions, we’re always here for you at planDisney.
