Hi there Edward! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.
One of the many things I love about staying in a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel is the convenience of being able to charge purchases to my room folio using a
MagicBand, which are then
charged to the card on file. If you are the lead Guest on the reservation, then by default all MagicBand charges associated with that reservation will be billed to your card. The
Front Desk can help set up different cards for different bands, such as in the case of friends staying together who would like to each bill their own card.
If your daughter's family is on a separate room reservation from yours, you should still be able to visit the Front Desk with her and use your card as the card on file instead of hers if you wish. Another option would be to stop by the Front Desk every few days to pay off the balance.
Accumulated charges are billed every 5th day and after
checkout.
MagicBands are essentially a convenient way to link to the information stored in a
My Disney Experience account. If your daughter's resort
reservation is linked to My Disney Experience, then the MagicBands of any Guests on that reservation are "automagically" linked to the resort stay as well.
Guests who are not currently staying at a Disney Resort Hotel may not use a MagicBand to make dining or merchandise purchases.
Edward, if you have any additional questions, please feel free to visit us here again at planDisney. We are always happy to help. I am wishing you and your family a wonderful stay!
Anne Marie
