Welcome back, Bill! I'm so happy to hear that you're going to be enjoying an amazing meal at
Palo. My husband and I never miss an opportunity to dine there, sometimes even booking both a dinner and a brunch at Palo when we sail. It is that good and is certainly worth every penny!
Tips for Palo servers are not included in your pre-paid gratuities since this restaurant carries an additional cost, so you'll want to tip your servers there when you pay for your meal. I don't believe you can actually pre-pay for the meal, as alcoholic beverages can be added and do cost extra, so the total cost won't be known until you are done. If you'd like to surprise your family members by paying, I'd suggest you sneak away and chat with the Head Server at Palo sometime during dinner or just before. Let him know that you'd like all four charges put on your stateroom and provide him with your Key To The World Card. Once the meal is over, you'll still need to sign for the charges and add the tip but at least at that point, they will bring just the one check with all four meals on it. Chat with the Head Server there to verify what your options are.
Be sure to have Palo's famous chocolate souffle! You'll thank me later! It's the best! Enjoy your cruise, Bill!
