My wife & I are coming to WDW Orlando in May. Our daughter will be 23 months old & I was wondering what rides we are able to do with her (on our lap). She loves animals & the safari would be her favourite. Is this allowed for her? T

    Hi Sean,

We love first visits at the Moms Panel!

Many of the rides at the Walt Disney World Resorts were designed for the entire family to experience them together. You will find fewer rides that your daughter will not be able to ride with you.

When you approach the entrance to any ride, you will notice a sign which states what safety restrictions there are. If you are unsure, simply ask the cast member at the front of the queue if your daughter can ride on your lap.

Unfortunately, the Kilimanjaro Safaris might be one of the rides where she sits next to you as it is a bumpy ride. We would not want her off roading on this trek. She will still see lots of animals through the walking attractions such as Maharajah Jungle Trek and Pangani Forest Exploration Trail.

Wishing you a magical first trip!
