My wife & I are in our 70s. If we buy an annual pass in advance (to lock in current rates) is there any way to get a refund if we are unable to use the passes for health reasons if this happens before the first use of a pass (besides trip insurance)?

    Dear John,

Thank you very much for stopping by for a visit here to see us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question about planning for your upcoming purchased of Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passes for yourself and for your wife!

If you have not activated your Annual Passes yet, the clock on them has not started ticking yet. That means that if you had to put off your trip for a health reason, you wouldn't "lose" that time on the Annual Pass. Now on the other hand, if you had a permanent change in health, that might create a more challenging situation. For that, I recommend calling a friendly Cast Member at 1(407)939-5277 to ask the specific question to be sure.

Hope that helps with your magical planning, and I hope that you are able to fully enjoy your Annual Passes and all of the benefits that they bring!
