I grew up in the New York/New Jersey metro area and currently live in the New Jersey suburbs. I am a Registered Nurse who after getting my PhD currently spends my days shaping future nursing minds as a professor. When not working or planning friends' Disney vacations, you can find me running my children to family events, play practices, activities, and sports. I volunteer my extra time to our local Y and to a LGBT pride community service organization in our area. I am proud to be the first openly lesbian Disney Parks Moms Panelist and I am thankful that Disney sees diversity of all types as one of its main strengths. As a panelist, my goal is to help each individual family maximize their Disney experience and fun quotient!
About My Family
I was fortunate enough to meet my beautiful wife in college, where we hit it off by sharing the joy of travel and adventure, and we have been adventuring ever since! We have three terrific children who also love traveling, especially to Disney! Our oldest son is a huge Star Wars lover. He also loves to sing and act and hopes to perform on a Disney stage when he's older. Our middle child is a visual artist and appreciates the spectacular animation and design of Disney the most. This child may be our biggest Disney fan and our biggest thrill-seeker too, having first ridden Expedition Everest as soon as possible. Our youngest child loves Belle, reading, and everything that sparkles. After having her first makeover at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, she may not let any future visits pass without another one! Our family loves to spend as much time together as we can learning and playing, and the Walt Disney World Resort provides a unique experience to do that each and every visit.
About My Disney Experience
I went to the Walt Disney World Resort once as a child, and we happened upon the coldest week of the year, during which time we were able to ride every ride over and over again since the park was empty; it was amazing! My next Disney experience didn't happen until I had children of my own, and upon entering Main Street, U.S.A for the first time as an adult, I burst into tears. We have since returned again and again, and the magical memories keep us coming back for more. One of the best days of my life was when we were plucked from the crowd to be the family of the day to open Magic Kingdom Park. We were overwhelmed with happiness and excitement. I love to experience the Disney magic as seen through the eyes of my children, and their constant joy when they are there is delightful!
