My wife and I are on a budget, and we want to start planning our cruise as soon as possible so we can start making payments. We are looking to do the Verry Merrytime cruise in December of 2024. How far in advance will we be able to book our cruise?

Ahoy there, Dennis! We are so glad you sailed on over to visit us!

I do love a planner, Dennis, and being a planner, I know how important it is to get some things locked into place so you can begin the fun parts of getting ready for your cruise vacation. Disney Cruise Line has traditionally released sailing itineraries about 15 - 18 months in advance, so you have a bit of time before you can start looking at 2024 itineraries.

If I were booking a December 2024 cruise, I'd definitely start looking for those itineraries to be released in the spring or early summer of 2023. While there is no guarantee, this is about the time frame for a 2024 fall/winter itinerary announcement.

The Very Merrytime cruises are truly my favorite. With the halls decked and the holidays on full display, there's just a layer of holiday spirit blanketing all the MAGIC and WONDER that already exists on a Disney Cruise ship

I did want to share one tip with you, Dennis. Did you know that you can use Disney Gift Cards for most things on your cruise, including paying for the cruise itself? You can start "making payments" now by picking up Disney Gift Cards and putting them away until you can use them towards your cruise payments. And, if you use the Red Card from one of the well-known big box stores, you can save 5% on purchasing those gift cards. That's like saving 5% on your cruise!

Dennis, I hope your planning and prepping can begin soon so you can start WISHing and DREAMing about your next Disney Cruise Line adventure!
