My wife and I want to bring our grandkids, 2 boys and 1 girl, age 10, 8 and 8 respectively, to visit WDW. We plan to be there in early June and stay there for 6 days. We would like to visit magic kingdom, animals kingdom and Epcot center. Any suggestions.

Hello, Tunglin thank you for visiting planDisney! This trip sounds like it is going to be a wonderful visit. What great ages to be visiting for you and your grandkids.

Visiting the Walt Disney World Resort with your grandchildren, I feel as a gift in its own way. There will be moments where you will remember them being eight years old and 10 years from now when they are driving, you will still see that eight year-old driving the cars at the Tomorrowland Speedway. You will still see the 10-year-old leading their siblings to get on a ride while grandma and grandpa hang back and enjoy each other‘s company. I have so many recommendations. It’s hard to figure out where to start. I will start with Magic Kingdom Park and this of course is quintessential Disney. From Main Street U.S.A. to the Pirates of the Caribbean, there are so many classics here to enjoy and so many of them can be shared by younger and older generations. With each park day, you will be using a large amount of energy, I always recommend to take a midday break so you can ensure that you are able to enjoy the park until closing. Especially Magic Kingdom, where the fireworks are always amazing. Happily Ever After is my favorite nighttime spectacular and will always remind me of my children growing up.

When you visit EPCOT, I always say the kids love Remy‘s Ratatouille Adventure, on this attraction, you are shrunk down to the size of a mouse and take part in a chase through the kitchen and restaurant. It’s always a big hit and everyone in the family can enjoy it. Epcot is also Home to something my 10-year-old loves. In world showcase there is a free long-standing tradition, it is called Kidcot Fun Stops and we have been collecting these for years each visit. You can stop by each country and pick up an arts and crafts activity or enjoy it inside the pavilion. Your little ones will love collecting these and part of the fun in exploring the pavilion in search of them.

Animal Kingdom is one park I would recommend to make sure you are there very early. All of the animals are most active in the cool morning, during the afternoon they may be seen sunbathing or seeking shade and not very active. My children love Kilimanjaro Safaris, we can see so many different animals in such a short period of time. It’s also a great place to sit for about 15-20 minutes while you are driven around the Savannah. If these kiddos are thrill seekers then Expedition Everest is calling them. This fast-paced coaster takes them inside the mountain where the Yeti lives.

There is so many things to list for your grand children’s ages. I promise you won’t make a wrong turn if you let the kid in you run wild with your grandkids. If you have any other specific questions about your visit please reach out anytime.

    See ya real soon,
