Hi, my wife and I are avid runners but won't be in for a race weekend. We were hoping to get out for runs next week prior to starting our days in the parks. Is there anywhere where we can find good running routes? Thanks. We will be in March 7-12.

    Hi John!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I love to hear that you and your wife are looking for a way to maintain your running schedule, even while on vacation!

Walt Disney World actually teamed up with New Balance about a year ago to create running trails throughout the property. The New Balance Running Trails are available in several different locations around the property. If you follow the New Balance Running Trail link, you can see they are organized by their areas around property. If you aren't sure where your resort is, if you click 'Read More' on each area you can actually see a list of resorts and a quick description of some of the trails. When you check in to your resort, let the Cast Member assisting you know that you are interested in the trails and they can provide you a map for your specific Walt Disney World Resort hotel.

During my recent visit to the Disney Port Orleans Riverside, I was able to check out the trail and it was great! Throughout that resort, there were small posted maps as you ran to show you where you were on the trail at that given point. Not only was it a great way to maintain my training schedule, but also explore the resort and property and see things I wouldn't have otherwise!

Please let me know if you have any other questions and I hope you and your wife have a wondEARful time!
