My wife and I along with our 3-year old son and 8-mo. old daughter will be visiting Disney in March. We were wondering how the new Pop Century Resort is?  We would like to save a little money for other goodies for the kids.

As you may know, the Pop Century is Disney's newest resort.  The newness shows, both in the facilities there and the thoughtful planning.  This resort has a beautiful lake to look at, which none of the other value resorts have, and there's a cute children's fountain (look for Goofy and a red corvette statue).  Bus service is also pretty efficient at this resort, which can be a problem at the All-Star resorts sometimes.

What you will give up in your room staying at a value resort as opposed to a moderate is a coffee maker and mini-fridge in your room, and some extra floor space (about 80 square feet).  The pools will also be less elaborately themed, but with the ages of your children that probably won't matter to them.

Bottom line is that if you are ok with forgoing the above, you will save a fair amount of money by staying at a value resort.  The Pop Century has many devoted fans, so they must be doing something right!  Try it and have a great vacation!
