My wife is allergic to many different items including nuts, tree nuts, coconut, melons, and bananas. We want to know what are the ingredients in the resort supplied soap for our upcoming stay at the Grand Floridian resort. Do they have alternative options?

Hey there, Ryan! Welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you and your wife have an enchanting getaway to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa coming up, and I’m so happy to help you plan a smooth and magical stay.

If your wife is anything like me, she’s probably already giving some thought to her toiletry bag. Disney Resorts provide complimentary toiletries, including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and soap. Recently, Disney acquired the rights to the H2O+ formulas for their bath products, so the items in your room will still be very similar to the ones you may have seen before.

That said, I did a little digging and found the ingredient list for the Sea Salt Facial Soap Bar, and while it doesn’t appear to contain any of the allergens you mentioned, product formulations can change. I also reached out to Guest Services, and a Cast Member confirmed that the resorts do not currently offer alternative toiletry options. To be on the safe side, I recommend packing your own trusted products or using a grocery delivery service, like Amazon Prime Now, to have your wife’s favorite items delivered directly to the resort. It’s such a convenient way to save space in your luggage!

If you’re looking for a little pixie-dusted shopping experience, your wife might enjoy visiting Basin White, located in the Grand Floridian’s main lobby. This is one of my favorite spots to find natural soaps, bath bombs, and other luxurious goodies. The best part? The Basin website includes detailed ingredient lists for every product, so she can check everything out ahead of time.

While you specifically asked about the soap, I also wanted to let you know that Disney takes great pride in accommodating Guests with special dietary needs. At most table-service and select quick-service restaurants, you can speak with a chef or a special diets-trained Cast Member to ensure your meals are safe and delicious. When booking dining reservations online or via the My Disney Experience app, look for the prompt to add special dietary requests. For any additional questions, you can also reach out to the Special Diets team at Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com.

I hope this helps you both feel a little more prepared for your magical vacation, Ryan! If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out. We’re always here to sprinkle a little extra pixie dust on your plans.
