Hiya Benjamin,
Welcome to planDisney! As the child of two retired Air Force veterans, I want to first start out by thanking you and your wife for your service. I am honored to help your family create memories together at this magical place.
What a great question, Benjamin! I read the guidelines for the
Military Salute tickets a couple of times and still reached out to a representative at
Shades of Green to make sure I was reading it correctly. Each Eligible Service Member sponsor (active or retired members of the US Military) can purchase up to six Military Salute Theme Park tickets a year. This means since your wife is also on active duty, she will be eligible to buy six tickets too, and so will you as an active-duty service member. That would give you 12 theme park tickets available for the year.
As a reminder, at least one of the tickets you each purchase must be used by each of you (unless one or both of you are
Annual Passholders). So, for example, if you are not an Annual Passholder and choose to purchase six tickets, then you can only give 5 of those tickets to your family members. The 6th ticket would need to be used by you. The same would be true for your wife. If you both had an Annual Pass, you could only purchase five tickets per eligible service member to share.
I hope I answered your question, but if you need additional assistance, please come back and see me or anyone else on the panel. We would be happy to clarify anything and provide tips for all other aspects of your vacation. Before I let you go, don’t forget to check out the
EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival during your visit. It is one of my favorites! The fresh food offerings and the beautiful flower displays never disappoint!
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
