Hi there, Laura. I'm happy you reached out to us here at planDisney. Let's do some magical troubleshooting. Can troubleshooting be magical? I say so, so let's do this!
First things first, you'll want to ensure that the Guest you are trying to select has a valid
theme park ticket for the date you are trying to enroll in a
Virtual Queue. Second, you'll want to make sure that they have a date-based ticket, which usually means that they purchased the ticket by selecting specific dates for their use. Some theme park tickets still require Theme Park Reservations and you can find a list of them on the
Theme Park Reservations page. And lastly, you'll want to ensure they aren't already enrolled in a Virtual Queue. At this time, there are 2 attractions available for Boarding Groups through the Virtual Queue. If you don't require Theme Park Reservations, you can choose either attraction, but you cannot be enrolled in 2 at a time. So if they are already enrolled in 1, they will not be able to enroll in another until they have ridden that first attraction. If none of these describes your situation or you've already taken care of these troubleshooting steps, the next step is to speak with a Cast Member. When you're at the park today, I'd recommend finding Cast Members who are part of the
Guest Experience Team under a blue umbrella. Do this before 1 p.m. as that will be the next time you can try to enroll in a Virtual Queue (as long as you are in the park with the attraction you are trying to ride).
If you happen to obtain a Boarding Group, you will be shown roughly how long your virtual wait for the ride will be. But the best part? You don't have to wait in a queue while you're waiting for a callback. You can
experience other attractions,
eat your favorite snacks,
shop for your new favorite piece of merchandise, or do whatever you want to do. Just make sure that you have push notifications enabled on your phone so that when it's time to ride, you get notified promptly. You'll have 1 hour to return to the attraction once your Boarding Group is called!
Laura, I wish you all the best with getting the Virtual Queue spot of your dreams. Those Guest Experience Team Cast Members are some of the best and should be able to pinpoint the exact issue. If you have any other questions,
please don't ever hesitate to reach out to me. I'm always happy to talk shop. And by "talk shop" I mean talk all things Disney. If you try to talk about fixing cars or sports or something like that, unless it's directly related to
Disney, I may look at you quizically!
No sleep until midnight*,
