    Why are there more options for MagicBand+ on the Disney Store vs. my account? We are staying at a Disney Resort, but I want to purchase from the Disney Store because of the color options. Can I do that instead of selecting through my reservation?

    Welcome to planDisney.

    All guests from the US can order MagicBand+ via your My Disney Experience account - they will be discounted in price and even though they are often re-stocked, the choice may be smaller.

    However, you can purchase your MagicBand+ from wherever you please! (I'm from the UK and don't have the option to buy through My Disney Experience, so I usually shop around to find the best designs for me).  Discounted MagicBands are only available through My Disney Experience pre-order.

    I usually purchase my MagicBand+ from Disneystore.com in advance of my trip, to have them delivered to my Disney Resort Hotel before I arrive, and you are very welcome to do this too. They usually have a good selection, and they update their stock often.  If you place an order, ensure you enter the delivery address as "Your Name + GUEST arriving.... insert your arrival date" - then add the name and address of your Disney Resort hotel, (which can be found on the Overview page on the official website).  On arrival, advise the Front Desk that you have a package waiting for you, and they will link your MagicBand+ to your account.  I like to place my order around 10 days before I arrive to ensure the package is waiting for me. It should be noted that you will be charged a Resort fee of around $6.00 (subject to change) for any package received for you by the Front Desk.  As you are a resident of the US, you can opt to have your MagicBand+ shipped to your home address if you prefer.

    If you decide to wait until you can choose from an even larger selection, several places around the Resort will sell MagicBand+, and before you make your purchase you can request Key to the World admission cards from the front desk - free of charge - which you can use to access your hotel room, make charges to your room and use for park admission.  I recommend shopping at the Emporium (Magic Kingdom), Connections (EPCOT) and World of Disney (Disney Springs).
