Ahoy there, David!
Thanks so much for sailing by planDisney with your question. It sounds like you have a very special voyage ahead! I’ve been lucky enough to sail Concierge with Disney Cruise Line myself a couple of times, and I can tell you the experience truly takes Disney service to the next level. From the personalized pre-arrival assistance and priority booking to the Concierge Lounge with complimentary treats and beverages, every detail feels extra magical.
You can prepay gratuities for a Concierge sailing, but the option isn’t always available online. In many cases, you’ll need to contact Disney Cruise Line directly, or have your travel agent add them. If your cruise is paid in full or within a few days of sailing, that can also prevent the system from allowing online prepayment. Another thing you can do is to reach out to the
Concierge Shoreside team directly via email, and they’ll be happy to assist.
If you’d prefer, you can also use the
chat feature in the help section on the Disney Cruise Line website when it’s available. I’ve used that myself before, and it was quick and easy. Another alternative is to purchase an onboard credit for the same amount through the
Onboard Gifts section of the website, and when gratuities are automatically charged to your account, it will simply offset that balance.
Disney Cruise Line also provides
suggested gratuity amounts on its website, and you’ll notice Concierge gratuities are slightly higher, reflecting that incredible level of service you’ll receive. I always bring some extra cash with me so I can use the little envelopes provided in the Concierge Lounge to leave a personal thank-you for the crew who’ve gone above and beyond.
I hope this helps you prepare for your upcoming cruise, David! Wishing you a truly magical sailing!
Sea ya real soon,
Eean
