Why can I not check room availability and make a reservation thru this site anymore?

    Hello Helen!

Welcome Home and welcome back to planDisney! I’m sorry you are having difficulty. I am assuming that you are having trouble with the Disney Vacation Club Website, so my apologies if you are referring to another page.

The ability to search for and make reservations from the Disney Vacation Club Member Website has not gone away. As a Member myself I just signed into my account and I can make a reservation. So there must be something going wrong on your end. First, make sure you are signed in to your account. There was an update to the site recently, so perhaps your computer used to automatically sign you in, and now you need to do it manually. Keep in mind that all loan payments and dues must be up-to-date in order to book a reservation. Also, some Members are not aware that currently you can only borrow 50% of next year's Vacation Points. If you are trying to use more than that, the site will not allow you to book.

Another thing to try is to “clear your cookies” on your computer. Between planning my own vacations and using Disney websites to answer questions here on planDisney, I access Disney webpages so much, that even clearing the cookies doesn’t seem to work for me. I find that using a “new private window” always does the trick for me. If you don’t know how to do that there are a few methods. If you are using an Apple computer, while you are in your browser, go up to the upper left-hand corner of your screen and choose “File” and from the dropdown menu select “New Private Window.” If you use a windows based computer the easiest way is to hit “Shift + CTRL + N” and that shortcut will open the new private window. It is also sometimes called an “Incognito” window or mode. These techniques should work for any of the Disney websites so if you are having trouble with a site other than the DVC site, these ideas might still work.

I hope this helps you figure out the issue, Helen, and I hope you can make your Disney Vacation Club reservation! If you are still struggling, you can still call Disney Vacation Club Member Services, or try calling Website Support for one-on-one assistance.

    Wishing you Membership Magic!
