Welcome to planDisney, Caterina!
I see that your countdown has dipped below two weeks, which means you’ll be standing right in the middle of Main Street, U.S.A. with a bucket of buttery popcorn in hand and Cinderella Castle in your view faster than you can say
bibbidi-bobbidi-boo! Can you believe it?
Magic Kingdom Park closes at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 18th, because
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is taking place from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight. Unfortunately, this means Happily Ever After won’t be lighting up the sky above Cinderella Castle that night. However, in my experience,
Magic Kingdom Park is less crowded during party days and definitely worth visiting. If you have the
Park Hopper option on your theme park ticket, you can always hop to EPCOT after Magic Kingdom closes via the monorail to catch the fireworks in
EPCOT Forever. If you have your heart set on viewing
Happily Ever After though, I suggest changing your Theme Park Reservation for Magic Kingdom to an alternate day when the show will take place. You can check for performance days and times via the
park hours webpage by choosing the date in question and making sure Happily Ever After is listed under the “Fireworks & Nighttime Entertainment” section.
I hope this information proves useful, Caterina. Have a wonderful trip, and say hi to Mickey for me!
See ya real soon,
Alyssa
