Why are there so few restaurants participating in the DDP this year? Is there a chance that more will be added throughout the year?

    Hi Amanda,

You're encountering something that happens every year. Many of the restaurants on Walt Disney World property are actually operated by outside restaurant vendors. These vendors' contracts must be renegotiated each year with respect to the Disney Dining Plan. Disney can't list them as officially participating in the Dining Plan until their agreements are finalized. When all is said and done, the VAST majority of "missing" restaurants will return to the list, usually there will be no gap in Dining Plan coverage during the year.

If you have questions about a specific restaurant, you can always call Disney Dining at 407-WDW-DINE to double check, but for the most part if a restaurant participated in the Dining Plan in 2013, you can assume that they will in 2014 as well. There may be one or two exceptions to this, but for the most part the list will remain intact.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
