Why does Disney not allow military discounts during spring break?

    Hi Connie,

Thank you for joining us at planDisney with your question. It is always an honor to help our heroes with magical Disney vacations. Thank you for your service.

You are correct that the Disney Military Salute theme park tickets available for Eligible Service Members in 2024 have blockout dates from March 24, 2024 - April 6, 2024, and from November 24, 2024 - November 30, 2024. I understand your disappointment! Please keep in mind that these are very popular dates with pretty cozy Guest numbers. I think you will find that you can use your theme park tickets to experience more magic, with shorter queues and more open space, on the other 346 347 (It's a leap year!) days this year.

If you are planning to be at Walt Disney World Resort during Spring Blockout Dates, I have some suggestions for other incredible ways to enjoy your Disney Day:

    1. Check out the incredible shopping, dining, and entertainment available at Disney Springs! There is so much to see and do. Maybe build and race a Lego vehicle, create an edible work of art, catch a movie, or take to the sky in a hot air balloon

We love Disney Springs after sunset, in particular. Not only is it beautiful, but the vacation vibes are strong.

Tip: For a great glass of wine, check out Wine Bar George or STK Steakhouse

    2. Test your putting skills with a family-friendly round of mini golf at Fantasia Gardens & Fairways or Winter Summerland Miniature Golf. A little friendly competition brings some excitement to an otherwise relaxing getaway.

    3. Visit Tri-Circle-D Ranch for an equestrian adventure! The smallest cowboys and cowgirls in your crew might enjoy a pony ride while the older explorers could find themselves on a horseback trail journey or a quiet carriage ride.

    4. Hit the water with a private boat rental. We love to zip around Bay Lake and Disney's Seven Seas Lagoon on a 2-seater boat or cruise as a whole family on a comfortable pontoon boat. It's a great way to really experience the beauty of this incredible natural area.

    5. Make a splash in the Walt Disney World Resort hotel pools! Our family can spend an entire week just enjoying these beautiful swimmin' holes. Our favorite Resort hotel pool is Stormalong Bay, shared by Disney's Beach Club Resort and Disney's Yacht Club Resort. It's 3-full acres of sand-bottom excitement!

I hope this helps as you plan your upcoming Disney vacation, Connie! If you have any other questions, come on back and see me! I have loads of ideas to make your visit, "Practically perfect in every way."

    Adventure is out there,

    Sally
