Whenever I make dining reservations for 6 people, they tell me that gratuity will be included in our bill. One of our guests will be 15 months old and won't be ordering anything, but will just be eating off our plate. Will the gratuity still be added?

My understanding is that Disney needs to count everyone at the table (including infants) due to fire code safety requirements.  Since this number is entered into the reservation system, it will automatically register that there are six people at the table and therefore you will automatically have an 18% gratuity added to the bill.

I am sure that in practice there may be exceptions to how this is implemented at some restaurants on some occasions, but in general it's reasonable to assume that this is what you will encounter.

In the (hopefully unlikely) event that you receive poor service, you can always ask to speak with the restaurant manager, and you will likely be able to make some adjustment to the bill and/or gratuity charge.

    Hope that helps. ºoº
