Hi Andrea! Thank you for bringing your question to planDisney!
How exciting to think that you'll be on your way to
The Most Magical Place on Earth in just a little over a month! I bet you've already purchased your
Theme Park Tickets, made your
Theme Park Reservations, and even your Advance Dining Reservations and now you're just putting the finishing touches on your daily itineraries. We all know that Walt Disney World Resort is a huge treasure trove of magic to be explored, so it's a great idea to look into mobility options like wheelchairs and scooters (also known as Electric Conveyance Vehicles, or ECVs) if you think you might want to use one during your stay.
Walt Disney World Resort does offer both
wheelchair and ECV rentals for any Guests who feel that they could benefit from this assistance. Wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis for a day-to-day or length-of-stay rental at all four Theme Parks, two Water Parks, and the shopping, dining, and entertainment district of
Disney Springs.
While you'll only pay one price for the use of a wheelchair for the entire day, wheelchairs cannot be transferred between locations. If you're planning to "hop" from one Park to another you can return your original wheelchair and then simply show your receipt at the second location to pick up a new wheelchair at no extra cost.
If you're hoping to have use of a wheelchair or ECV outside of the Parks you're certainly welcome to bring your own from home or rent one from Disney's Featured Provider, ScooterBug. If you choose to rent from ScooterBug, they will coordinate with Cast Members at your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel in order to arrange delivery and pick up of your wheelchair or scooter, so you won't have to worry about it!
I hope you and your party have a magical and memorable time visiting Walt Disney World Resort!
