Hi Judy,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thanks so much for bringing me your great question! My family rented a wheelchair once for a member of our party who was experiencing some ankle pain, and it was such a blessing that allowed them to be able to enjoy the day
with us instead of having to sit on a bench and rest while we were off enjoying attractions.
You'll be able to find
wheelchair rental locations conveniently located near the entrance of every theme park. At Magic Kingdom Park, you may either rent a wheelchair at Mickey's Gift Station located at the Transportation and Ticket Center or just to your right after you go through ticketing, but before you enter Main Street U.S.A. underneath the Walt Disney World Railroad. At Epcot, you'll walk just to the left of
Spaceship Earth to find wheelchair rentals, or if you're arriving through the International Gateway entrance, you'll find some available to rent just to your left after you go through security and ticketing.
While the cost is subject to change, a wheelchair rental is currently $12 for one day or $10 per day for the length of your stay. At Epcot and Magic Kingdom Park, no deposit is required, but do know that you may not leave the theme parks before returning your wheelchair to one of these locations. If you are visiting more than one park per day, your rental fee will be valid for the entire day, pending availability. Just show the Cast Member at each new theme park your receipt showing you've paid for the day, and you'll be off experiencing more magic before you know it!
I hope this will help you enjoy your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort even more, Judy! Have a truly magical vacation!
Missy
