Hi Lynn!
Welcome to
planDisney!
I'm so sorry that you had difficulty finding an
advanced dining reservation for a character dining experience.
Your best bet to scoring an advanced dining reservation is by logging on to the Walt Disney World website at 5:45 a.m. 60 days prior to your reservation. If you are staying at a
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you will get to book reservations for the entire length of your trip (up to 10 days.)
Many of the most popular restaurants fill up quickly, so it's not uncommon for reservations to be unavailable...even when logging on when the window opens.
A few tips for scoring the advanced dining reservation are:
1. Plan your restaurants ahead of time, even before your reservation window opens. I like to have a spreadsheet with all of my preferred restaurants, times, and dates.
2. Have your credit card handy. Some of the restaurants require a credit card to hold the reservation, so make sure to have your credit card nearby (or have the card number memorized) so you can hold the reservation quickly.
3. Have the
My Disney Experience app opened and make sure you are in a location with a strong wi-fi connection.
If you were unable to obtain your desired advanced dining reservations, don't worry! Reservation times become available frequently as guests cancel or change their existing reservations.
You can also use the
mobile dine walk-up availability feature to find a same-day reservation. When you are in the park, scan the QR code at the restaurant in which you want to dine. You can then use the app to add your party to the walk-up list, if available. Once your table is ready, you can proceed to the specified location.
Magically,
Stacy
